Reindeers and stones

It took a while and I am still waiting for my first moose but I did see my first reindeer. It ran away but it could be identified by it’s back. The landscape I am crossing is either very marine

or the highland type.

Going northward the rocks start to become more visible. The higher mountains often rise above the growth zone for trees. This why they are often bare with gras and lichens or completely rocky. Some of the rocks look quite nice.

With the yo-yo way I am travelling north the average speed has dropped to 15 kilometres per hour. This is o.k. as long as the weather is as good as it is now with blue sky and temperatures well above 20 degrees Celsius. Will keep fingers crossed that it stays this way. But at the end there is no foul weather if you are dressed the right way. I shaved today to be prepared for the beautiful days to come.
